More About Disney's Prince Phillip.

Creation Notes:
Prince Phillip is a Novice Character, but has to be able to defeat Maleficent. The Sword and Shield given him by the Fairies therefore must be of sufficient strength. These are ridiculously powerful weapons, so the caveat is that they only exhibit their strength when used versus their namesakes opposites. Also note that in the film he was aided by the Fairies Flora, Fauna and Merryweather against Maleficent's Goons and then backed off when Maleficent herself showed up. Philip seemed to land a handful of lesser hits. Maleficent Mostly used Fiery Breath, she hit twice (the shield protected him), missed twice, and knocked the shield from his hand once, she snapped at him with her jaws in sets of two attacks (Improved Frenzy). Phillip must have rolled an 8 for damage on three of his hits and his throw of the sword, or had his dice explode on the throw to take Maleficent down.

Die explode?

In Savage Worlds, if you roll the highest number on the die, then you get to roll the die again (on trait tests and damage rolls) and add the result. If you roll the highest again, you roll again.

This is the meaning of exploding dice.

I like this Char. I do have one comment about it. As a prince I think he should have the Noble background edge. In a traditional swords and sorcery game humans get an extra edge to offset other races special abilities.

An interesting Edge Suggestion that I've completely overlooked. I like it enough to go back and retroactively assign it.
